Staff at FTIA,
This letter is long overdue, but I just wanted to take a moment to thank ALL of you for helping me through the process of adoption and into the journey of motherhood. Words can not express how happy I am to be united with the best gift in life, my daughter.
The process started November 2000. Many changes and obstacles got in the way and I never thought it would end. At times it was tough but with the great support of the China team they gave me the strength I needed. The China team was great, and they were always there no matter what. They put my mind and spirit to ease.
On April 4, 2002, the process ended and my dream came true. I was a mother! Zhu Ya Qin was waiting for me in Anhui, China. She was almost 9 months old. Mothers Day 2002 I left on an airplane with my mother to get my little girl. At times I felt like I was in a fantasyland. After arriving in China at the hotel was a baby bed and stroller and I knew my diligence, patience and prayer were about to payoff. I was about to look into the eyes of my little one.
