Vietnam Embassy & Consulate

After securing the Secretary of State seal on the required documents, you will need to send your documents to the Vietnam Embassy or Consulate for the Vietnamese seal/authentication. Regardless of where you are located, you may use either the Embassy in Washington, D.C., or the Consulate in San Francisco, CA. Either location can authenticate documents from any state.

As of this date, both the Vietnam Embassy and Consulate charge $50 per document for seal/authentication. You will need to send a money order or certified check with your documents to cover the costs of authentication fees.  Both the Embassy and Consulate offer one-week expedited services for an additional fee**.

Regardless of which location you choose to send your documents, we suggest sending your documents through an express courier service such as:  Federal Express (FedEx), or US Express Mail or Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation or Certified Mail.  The courier services will charge a fee for their service.
