2011 FTIA Celebration of Children Calendar – Photo Submission Information!

FTIA is now accepting photo submissions to be considered for our annual Celebration of Children Calendar!

As in the past, we can accept photo submissions via mail and e-mail. The final day to submit photos will be Sunday, August 15, 2010. Please honor this deadline.

We cannot guarantee that all photos will be included in the calendar. In order to avoid bias in the selection of photos, we have arranged for a designer who is not an adoptive parent to select photos to be included in the calendar.

Whether your child's photo is included in the calendar or not, we will include the photos we receive in the albums that we share at informational meetings. We may also choose to include your child's photo in some of our promotional guides, brochures, or advertisements for FTIA's international adoption programs without names or other identifying information.

We prefer to receive photos electronically by e-mail whenever possible but we will continue to accept original developed/processed photographs.

IF YOU PLAN TO SUBMIT A DIGITAL PHOTO, you may attach your digital photo to an e-mail, paste into the body of your e-mail the necessary information and release language from the Photo Submission Form (see link below), and send the e-mail to adopt@ftia.org. **Please refer to the Photo Submission Form for exact instructions about submitting your digital photo by e-mail.**

IF YOU PLAN TO SUBMIT AN ORIGINAL DEVELOPED/PROCESSED PHOTOGRAPH (as opposed to a digital photo), please mail your photograph AND a completed, signed Photo Submission Form (see link below) to FTIA’s OFFICE ADDRESS:

**Please refer to the Photo Submission Form for exact instructions about submitting your photograph(s) by mail. Also, remember to protect your photograph: do not use paper clips or staples on your photo, as this will damage the photo, and encase your photo in thick cardboard or some other packing material to protect it through the mail.

PLEASE REMEMBER THE POINTS BELOW AND REFER TO THE FOLLOWING PHOTO SUBMISSION FORM FOR MORE DETAILS:

• Only ONE photograph may be submitted for consideration for each adopted child. If you have adopted more than one child, you may submit one individual photo for each child, or one group photo of all of the children. Also, only children – no adults in the photos, please.
• A separate, completed, and signed Photo Submission Form MUST be submitted with each original photograph you submit for consideration. For digital photos, each individual digital photo must be emailed separately to adopt@ftia.org and the necessary information and release language from the Photo Submission Form must be included in the body of each email.
• If you are submitting a group photo which includes children from more than one family, we must have a photo submission form for each child in the photo. Please include the required forms with your photo! Unfortunately, we will not be able to include group photos which do not have the required permission forms for each child.
• Copyrighted (studio) photos MUST be accompanied by written permission from the photographer or studio to be considered.
• Please do not submit a photo that you have printed from your home computer/printer as the resolution/quality will not be of high enough quality for reproduction.
• When submitting an actual photo (as opposed to a digital photo), please place a sticker label or piece of masking tape on the back of each photograph with your child’s full name to assist us in keeping track of the photos.
• If submitting a digital photo, when saving the file please name the file as your child’s last name followed by first name (so that the attachment will be saved/named as your child’s complete name - Example = Doe, John.)
• Please understand that original photographs will not be returned.

The DEADLINE for ALL photo submissions is Sunday, August 15th!
