The USCIS has announced fee increases. The new fee schedule became effective on April 30, 2004. The fee for I-600A will be $525 instead of $460.

The fee for the N-600 Application for a Certificate of Citizenship fee (for an adopted child) increased to $200 from $145. Since January 20, 2004, the requirement of filing for a Certificate of Citizenship only applies to children entering the U.S. on an IR-4 visa.

The fingerprint fee is $70 instead of $50 per person and is now called "biometrics" because it also includes a picture.
