Painless Ways to Help a Little

by Keith Wallace

A number of our adoptive parents have contributed to FTIA's humanitarian aide efforts through employee deductions. We have several families who designate FTIA as a recipient of United Way funds that are withheld from their paycheck. We also have federal and other public employees doing the same through the Combined Federal Campaign, which is a similar type program to the United Way, only for federal and other public employees.

We are also a member of Children's Charities of America, which is another way to designate money through payroll deductions. We greatly appreciate everyone who has designated FTIA to receive these monies. Since FTIA was established, we have continually promised (and kept our promise) that every cent donated on behalf of children would go overseas on behalf of children with no administrative cost deducted.

We would ask that more of our adoptive parents consider designating FTIA as recipient of employee withholding either through United Way, The Combined Federal Campaign, or Children's Charities of America. We continue to undertake projects and activities on behalf of children in every country where we have an established adoption program. We have many more projects and dreams that we want to accomplish on behalf of the children and we need your help.

In addition to contributing through different payroll deduction programs, we also have other ongoing projects, like foster care in China, supporting a number of different projects in Guatemala and soon beginning some long-term projects in Vietnam that need your help. Our entire FTIA team respectfully asks that you consider how you, your friends or family could contribute to these efforts. All contributions are tax deductible and the donors will receive such a receipt from FTIA.
