The New Year has started off well for the Hunan Foster Care program. We have all ready received $500.00 in family donations. Thank you to everyone who has participated in donating to the program!

For the 2004 calendar year the Hunan Foster Care program incurred expenses totaling $33,449.18. Families Thru International Adoption directly sponsors the administrative costs of this program. For 2004 the administrative costs totaled $4,798.26. We received a great response for family donations in 2004 and received a total of $19,499.63. FTIA covered the remaining expenses of $9,151.29.

Even though the response for donations in 2004 was very good, we would like to see an even greater response in 2005. If you and your family and friends are looking for a worthy cause to donate to, please consider the Hunan Foster Care program. FTIA will continue to cover all administrative costs for the program, so 100% of money donated will go directly to the care of the children.

I recently took over handling the pictures we receive of the children fostered through the program and replying to family requests for information. I will also be writing updates for newsletters and the website. I look forward to working with such a great program!
