The past couple of months have been an adventure. On December 26, 2004, our cleaning crew came in to find about one to two inches of standing water throughout our building. A pipe between the first and second floors had split in seven places because of extremely cold weather. Our team did a great job of jumping into action. No family files or computer servers were damaged - about everything else was damaged or destroyed. Because our computer system allows remote access, everyone began working from home as a clean up crew began cleaning the building. Remarkably within about ten days we were at full operation at our office with everyone moved around. However, the construction continues and will not be completed until the end of February. We have tried to make lemonade out of a lemon. As we rebuild we have made a few changes that improve our work environment and our productivity. I am very thankful and impressed with our FTIA team and how everyone kept working under difficult circumstances to ensure that no one's adoption would be delayed.
