All FTIA families, pre and post adoption, are welcome to join us on Saturday, September 18 from 12:30-3:30 pm at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Cincinnati for the seminar "Parenting to Promote Attachment" presented by Dr. Gregory Keck. Adoption / Parenting Events

International Adoption Workshops--Adoption Education Center of Greater Dayton
Educational workshops for families preparing to adopt internationally will be offered throughout the year. Workshop #1 includes information regarding institutionalization, child development, attachment and bonding, heritage and cultural issues and adjustment and transition, and will be offered September 18. Workshop #2 includes understanding the lifelong journey of adoption, building family identity, core issues and talking about adoption, and will be offered Aug 21 and October 16. Abroad & Back--Attachment & Bonding Center of Ohio-Cleveland Office
On Friday, August 13 and Saturday, August 14 in Cleveland, the Attachment and Bonding Center of Ohio is presenting "Abroad & Back". Three sessions will cover Orphanage Life; Attachment: It Takes Time; and Adoption-Bringing Your Child Home is Just the Beginning! Medical Issues in Adoption from China--Cincinnati

Adoption Academy--Columbus Children's Hospital
The Academy will offer educational programs for prospective adoptive parents through three tracks: The CORE Track, beginning September 8, will examine issues all prospective adoptive parents need to address; the Domestic Track, beginning September 29, is for those interested in adopting children in the United States; and the International Track, beginning October 27, is for those interested in adopting abroad. Jane Brown's Parent & Children's Workshop--Columbus
On October 1-3, children will be given the opportunity to explore adoption issues with Jane Brown through playshops. 2004 Tri-State Fair & Conference--Northern Kentucky
Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana public and private adoption and foster care agencies who represent children for special needs, international, open and foster parent adoptions will be present at the Fair on October 30 to answer your questions and to provide you with information about their programs. The "Celebrating Families" Conference portion will offer a keynote speaker, lunch and workshop sessions covering both pre and post adoption topics. Dinosaur Dynasty: Dinosaur Discoveries from China--Columbus
