It
is hard to believe she has been home for 2 1/2 years and it's even harder to
believe she is 5!! She is so precious to us. Last night, sitting in
her bed, we talked about her birth mom and how she grew in her tummy. Alia
wanted to sing her a song...she chose "I Love You" from Barney. We prayed
for her, that God would give her peace today, somehow let her know that Alia is
loved, healthy and happy
My favorite times are when she runs to me, hugs my leg and says, "I love you, Mommy!" then runs off again to play. I can't imagine our lives without her! I remember, so well, the first day we saw her...so tiny and so beautiful! I remember how she clutched her things to her, I wasn't even allowed to take her shoes off! She seemed to want to hold onto anything that was familiar. After a nap, she warmed up to us. Now when we talk about Guatemala, she wants me to tell her how she will be with us forever and ever! I couldn't imagine it any other way!
Thank
you for all your help in bringing Alia to us...and for putting up with me!
Because of you, our dreams have come true!
