I am enclosing copies of the documents I received in Russia as well as some pictures.
Also, I want to say thank you to everyone at FTIA. From the beginning, the staff at FTIA have been completely professional and dedicated. My adoption process has been quick and relatively painless. I know that is due in large part to FTIA.
My adoption coordinator, Samm, was wonderful. He guided me through this sometimes frustrating, overwhelming, and confusing process of adoption with humor and kindness. He always kept in touch with me, regardless of my place in the adoption process. He returned my calls and emails quickly and answered all my questions, of which there were many. When I did encounter problems, I never felt like I was alone. Samm would, after telling me to take a deep breath, offer alternatives and point me in the right direction. I know Samm has left FTIA for law school and I wish him the best of luck.
Inessa, who is my new coordinator, has also been great. Initially, I was wary about switching coordinators, but the process was seamless. In Moscow, I received a call from Inessa, which was very much appreciated. It was so nice to hear a friendly voice from home. I spoke with her again after I returned home and she was very helpful and supportive. I look forward to speaking with her in the future.
In addition, the staff in Russia were wonderful. From Lean to Vasiliy to the support staff, I could not have asked for a better group of people to work with me. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of, from taking us shopping, ordering food for us, putting us in touch with tour guides, and assisting us with checking in at the airline counters, which was greatly appreciated. Even though we were in a foreign country, I didn’t feel alone. Our guides were always with us.
With the uncertainty that exist in the Russian adoption process, I believe that having a reputable agency behind you is vital. While others are still waiting, FTIA was able to assist me in bringing my baby girl home. She is a happy and healthy little girl who is everything I could have wanted and more.
I am very happy I chose an agency that values their clients, and, more importantly, the children. I would happily recommend FTIA to anyone who wants to bring a child into their lives through adoption. I look forward to using FTIA again in the future.
