Dear China Team,

I returned from China in December 2004 with a beautiful baby, named Xiao Xi, who is now my wonderful daughter, Caroline Paula. I want to let you know that I could not be more pleased with the services of your agency. From "paper chase" to "Gotcha Day" - everything was handled timely, professionally, and pleasantly by your agency representatives. Thank you so much for a wonderful adoption experience!

I also want to extend my thanks for allowing me to become a client of FTIA. I am a single parent and knew that it would be difficult - and maybe impossible - to find an agency to represent me for a second Chinese adoption. Unlike couples, I didn't have the luxury of being able to choose an agency. I had to let an agency "choose" me. And I am so glad FTIA did! I had heard of your good reputation from internet sources and former clients. I was delighted to have my application accepted and knew I would be in "good hands" throughout the process.

I have enclosed your post adoption survey and questionnaire. I have also enclosed a few pictures of my daughters, taken since we arrived home. Caroline is now 16 months old and is making tremendous progress, both physically and mentally since joining our family. My other daughter, age 5, has proven to be a wonderful big sister and has amazed me in her adjustment to her new role. She is such a big helper with her little sister and so very protective of her. In turn, Caroline is also growing more and more attached to Elizabeth and I can see that she absolutely adores her big sister.

I think I have completed all the necessary paperwork for Caroline since we returned home. She received her Certificate of Citizenship and has been issued a social security number. I have registered her adoption in the district court in the state of Kansas, and am waiting for notification of availability of her Kansas birth certificate. I have been in contact with my social worker, and she will complete the required post-placement reports in June 2005 and December 2005.
