Dear FTIA and the Guatemala team,
First and foremost I must say that you all are amazing! When I began my adoption journey more than a year and a half ago I was terrified of the whole process, but because of your awesome team, things went so much smoother than I could have ever hoped. Of course the journey was not without its ups and downs, but you all handled everything with such care and efficiency. And the Guatemala team is by far the friendliest and most supportive group of people that I have yet to meet, especially Dusty whose patience with my endless worrying and questions borders on saintly. After many years of working with the public and dealing with businesses on a daily basis I continue to be in awe of the degree of both personal and professional standards under which FTIA practices. You all are inspiring!
Now, I will turn my attention to the awesome new addition to my family, Juliana Theresa. After just over 2 weeks I can already not even imagine a day of my life without this beautiful child. She is such a happy, delightful baby and everyday that we have been together is such a joy. One of my fondest memories so far is of her lying on my stomach and I made her laugh out loud for the first time. When she started to laugh it made me laugh - then she could feel my laughter (since she was on my stomach) and she laughed harder - and I laughed harder until we were both almost crying! With the sound of her little laugh all of the stress of the past months just melts away. This has been such an incredible experience from start to finish and I know that the real fun is just beginning. I am so looking forward to the next 18 years of learning and growing along with Juliana, and I am eternally grateful to your organization for helping us to get to this point.
Sincerely,
Becky & Juliana
