We hope all is well with you and your family. We think and talk about you often.
It is so hard to believe that one year ago today we were in court, fighting for the family we have now. Oh, if we could turn back time and let the judge know what a true joy and blessing she finally gave in to letting us have. We have been so blessed this past year and everyone had told us we would forget the wait and all the stress. Well, they were right, besides not having time to think about it, we are just so grateful for the most wonderful little girl in the whole world!!!
You had such a large role in our happiness that you will be a forever fixture in our hearts. Katie may not know you now, but she will one day, she doesn't realize what has happened these past 12 months but with the help of journals and pictures one day we will have the opportunity to share our journey to bring her home.
For the families who have been set back for reasons beyond control, we can only feel for them and just pray. Pray for God's will and intervention, because we know without a doubt with everyone that was praying for us this day one year ago, that's what got us through and Katie to be ours to raise. God has a sense of humor and a wonderful heart and He will get these children to their parents.
As we reflect on our journey this time last year, we can't help but pray for you and all in Russia that was there for us, as well as all across the country (both countries) that were praying for the outcome that we have lived this past year.
We thank you from the bottoms of our hearts, as we celebrate Thanksgiving this year (since we will remember it without jetlag) we will definitely be grateful and thankful for our extended family.
Katie's toothless smile and uncanny way to make us laugh is all we will need for the rest of our lives.
Thank you again and again for all you did to make our dreams come true.
With the greatest love we could send....
Raymond, Sandy & Katie
