Lily's Story

Hello! We are so happy!

We've been home from China for two months now, and it's been wonderful! Our trip to China was great! We were amazed and in awe of China. We left June 22 and got Lily, our beautiful daughter, on June 26 in Changsha--Hunan Province, then spent a week in Guangzhou which was definitely our favorite place.

Lily who is now 11 months (8 1/2 months when we got her) is so great, so beautiful, so smart--oh I could go on and on bragging and telling how much in love with our daughter we are. Lily eats all baby foods, Cheerios and Goldfish (her favorite), cookies, graham crackers--about everything we give her, and she's a very easygoing, fun, lovely child. My husband and I told the Chinese when they'd stop us and compliment her saying "lucky girl" or "lucky baby" we'd always say "no, lucky us."

I had no idea how wonderful being a parent is. Whenever we go anywhere, Lily attracts so much attention, we don't have quick trips to the store. People are so intrigued and have so many questions--everybody is very fascinated by Lily. When we returned home from China, FTIA had given us a stack of their business cards--well, we went through that stack in about two weeks and are presently almost finished with our second stack.

We truly are blessed to have Lily in our lives--we truly are the "lucky ones." Thanks for your time.
