Matthew's Story

1As you can see, Matthew is growing and thriving. He is happy, healthy, and perfectly at home in his new family.

Guan a Yu or Matthew as he is now known is an amazing little boy. He is pleasant, friendly, happy, and affectionate. He has a winsome smile and a charming little personality. He loves to imitate facial expressions and vocal infections. He really enjoys being the center of attention, which he usually always is, and is just such a delight to be around.

In the last 6 months, Matthew has gained nearly 5 pounds. He is a good eater and pretty much eats everything with gusto! (Let me tell you, when this kid eats, he really eats!) He has learned to walk and climb, is starting to imitate words. He can say, "Out and go," quite clearly an shouts them at our dog all the time!

Matthew loves music, and will dance to any music he hears.  His favorite toys are blocks and rattles, anything he can stack or shake.

Our "little man" has brought so much joy to our family and we love him more than we can adequately express. It's hard to remember what it was like before he came into our family, and it seems as if he was always with us.

2We are just so grateful to all of you and to the People's Republic of China for giving us the most precious gift of all-our children. We feel as if we have "double happiness" and then some! Thank you for all you did to make our dreams of having a family a reality. We have been truly blessed with our 3 incredible children. Know that you will always have a special place in our hearts and in our families.

Thank you again.

Kathy and Joe
